A lawsuit is calling for a Utah law allowing cougars to be hunted all year to be thrown out.

H.B. 469 was made effective back in May. It legalized unlimited, year-round hunting and trapping of cougars. It also strips the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources’ ability to actually manage cougar hunts. Dave and Taylor speak with the Executive Director of Western Wildlife Conservancy who is a part of the lawsuit about the motive behind it. Rep. Casey Snider who originally proposed the bill that is now law, shared his reaction to the lawsuit in a recorded interview.
