While retirees might imagine spending their golden years outside of the U.S., the realities of moving abroad are much less romantic. You're not officially a citizen in that country and you likely don't speak the language. On the other hand, one family who retired in Northern Italy, pay $2,200 a year for their health care and they feel healthier than they did back home -- lost weight and they are exercising more.
