About this episode

Published February 27th, 2025, 10:53 pm

Hosts: Rusty Cannon and Greg Skordas

Should elected officials be able to send out communications -- think mailers or billboards or commercials -- that promote themselves or something they do in office just before an election where they're running to be re-elected? Should public funds pay for those kinds of materials? These are all questions House Bill 551 tries to answer. Bill sponsor State Rep. Jason Kyle joins the show to go through some parts of the bill and why you -- as the taxpayer and voter -- should be aware of it.
