Our borders have become overwhelmed at the masses of people trying to escape conflict in their home countries. It seems like everyone has an opinion on how to solve the problem, but without any action to back it up. Immigration has become a sedentary presence in Congress. But some Americans have taken the problem into their own hands, choosing to pursue our nation's values within their own communities by privately sponsoring refugees in their homes.
