The "Point-in-time" homelessness count is a one-day count of unhoused peoplearound the nation and is required for federal funding used for homeless solutions.

Information like names and factors related to a person’s state of homelessness are gathered during the count. It’s also used as a chance to hand out food, water and ways to access other resources.

We learn more from officals in Glendale and Phoenix about how they do the count, as well as hear from unhoused people themselves.
