Low water levels at Lake Powell have raised concerns about hydropower generation. The reservoir on the Arizona-Utah border sits about 3 feet above its record low at an elevation of 3,522 feet. The Bureau of Reclamation has said it intends to keep Lake Powell above 3,500 feet because Glen Canyon Dam reaches minimum power pool at 3,490 feet, the point at which it can no longer reliably generate hydropower
