While summer is synonymous with blockbuster movies, a trip to the theater isn't limited to sitting in a multiplex. For those seeking something different, drive-in theaters — though not as prevalent as they once were — are still thriving in parts of the country and offer a unique movie-watching experience.
In this episode, co-hosts Terry Lipshetz and Bruce Miller recall their experiences at drive-in theaters. Terry reminisces about visiting a New Jersey drive-in during its final season before it became a multiplex, and expresses excitement for the return of the Highway 18 Outdoor Theatre near his home in Jefferson, Wisconsin. Bruce reflects on attending drive-ins as a teenager.
