Baobab Fare, a Burundi-inspired restaurant in Detroit, has its second location in the works on the city's east side. Co-owner Nadia Nijimbere joins the show to discuss what they hope the bring to the neighborhood and their recent 2024 James Beard Award nomination for outstanding restaurateur. Also on the show, Mark Stryker, author and co-producer of the film "The Best of the Best: Jazz from Detroit," joins to discuss the film, which will debut at the Detroit Free Press Film Festival later this month.
