The Wayne Health Mobile Unit started in 2020, in the beginning stages of the COVID-19 pandemic. While driving to homes to provide COVID-19 tests and vaccinations, organizers realized the units could provide many more services. A new partnership with Meridian is now allowing Wayne Health Mobile Unit to assist pregnant moms in low-income Detroit neighborhoods. Also in this episode, producer Sam Corey speaks to the architect who designed Detroit's first 3D printed home, and more.
