King County Prosecuting Attorney Leesa Mannion joined the John Curley Show to talk HB 1536 which aims to reduce the number of firearm offenses a juvenile can commit before law enforcement can provide interventions of any consequence.   As it stands now, the law requires a juvenile to commit FIVE firearm offenses before they can face any jail time, which sends kids the message that "it's not a big deal to carry a firearm."  Her goal is to affect lasting change in a child's life before they make a mistake that will impact their lives forever.
