Relentlessly Resilient host Jennie Taylor launched The Major Brent Taylor Foundation on what would have been her husband's 40th birthday. Nearly five years later, the organization has expanded to not only include their original principles of training, honoring, and engaging, but to provide Gold Star families with travel opportunities to attend the annual rededication of the Global War on Terrorism Memorial, an interactive and massive 9/11 Project traveling installation, Flag Missions, and much much more.
On this Cohost Conversation episode, Jennie and Michelle discuss the power and purpose of the foundation and invite others to get involved in patriotism wherever they are, including if they can donate to the foundation or attend the Leadership Legacy Gala on Friday, November 8, 2024, in Ogden Utah. They also, and most importantly, implore listners to become civically involved and patriotic no matter your political views, as that is the freedom Major Taylor, and others like him, have fought and died for.
Even though we live in challenging times, we can become ‘Relentlessly Resilient’ as we lean on and learn from one another’s experiences. Hosts Jennie Taylor and Michelle Scharf are no strangers to overcoming adversity; Michelle lost her husband to cancer, while Jennie’s husband, Major Brent Taylor, was killed in the service of our country. Their stories bond them together, and now listeners can join them weekly as they visit with others enduring challenges and who teach us how they are exercising resiliency, finding value in their grief, and purpose in moving forward.
