A man was dropped off at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. He asked to be taken there. He wanted and needed help. But Matthew Taylor never walked through the door. Hours later a 27-year-old nurse, wife and young mother named Ada Doss was walking through the parking lot at shift change when she crossed paths with Taylor, who police say gunned her down outside her car.
Taylor was quickly arrested. Inside the jail, his behavior became so alarming a judge ordered Taylor medicated against his will.
