The most comprehensive homeowners association oversight bill in Georgia history is on its way to Gov. Brian Kemp’s desk, and lawmakers credit Atlanta News First Investigates’ series, HOA Nightmares, for uncovering the lack of oversight for HOAs across the state. 

But at the same time, controversies over HOAs remain, especially in this one community where a $5.1 million water bill remains unpaid, along with a $24,000 trash bill.
